AMSOIL By-Pass Filters offer unsurpassed filtration together with the maximum amount of protection against normal oil degradation. These filters have been specifically designed to work hand in hand with full flow oil filters so that they are capable of filtering oil on what is known as a "partial flow" basis. Generally speaking, Ea By-Pass filters process more or less 10% of the oil pump's capacity at any given moment in order to remove minute particles of debris which usually tend to make it through the average full-flow filter. Even though Ea By-Pass filters only draw 10% of the oil pumps capacity at any given time, all the oil within the system will be processed several times within an hour.
