One of the most common misconceptions concerning AMSOIL synthetic lubricants is that they are very costly when compared to regular petroleum based lubricants. Admittedly, AMSOIL lubricants may require a bigger outlay initially, but the slightly higher cost is soon recovered in terms of increased fuel efficiency. The regular use of AMSOIL also reduces the need for engine maintenance, which in turn means less downtime, and of course less downtime equates to higher profits.

Research has shown that essential engine maintenance can be dramatically reduced through the regular use of AMSOIL. This is of course due to its superior ability to protect moving engine parts, while at the same time cleaning them and cooling them. When using AMSOIL, business owners also benefit financially from the extended drain intervals. For example, if oil only has to be drained once per year, rather than several times as is the case when using regular oils, vehicles spend less time in the workshop. This means less money is being spent on oil and labor, and of course it also means less downtime.

AMSOIL synthetic lubricants are known to offer moving engine parts a higher level of protection that what regular petroleum based lubricants do. This inevitably results in less wear and tear, which in turn equates to extended engine life.
Enhanced Fuel Economy
Everyone is feeling the pinch nowadays as far as gas prices are concerned, but this is particularly true when it comes to companies which rely heavily of the use of vehicles or other forms of equipment running on gas or diesel. Because AMSOIL lubricants are able to lubricate to such a high degree, resistance is reduced, and this in turn means less energy is required to drive moving parts. The outcome of this is reduced fuel consumption.
Interestingly enough, a string of tests have proven that it's possible to reduce fuel consumption by as much as 5%, simply by using synthetic lubricants in place of petroleum based oils. Of course for the average person, 5% may not sound like much, but if you were running a business with 100 class 8 vehicles permanently on the road all year round, a 5% reduction in fuel would amount to a phenomenal savings. Let's just say each of these vehicles clocks up an average of 120,000 miles per year, and on average, each one gets six and a half miles to the gallon, with the cost of diesel being $4.12. In this example, the company in question currently spends $7,606,153.85 on diesel each year. Now, management decides to switch to AMSOIL synthetic lubricants, which in turn produces a 4% increase in the fleet's fuel economy. This would see yearly diesel expenses reduced by just under $300,000. In fact, the company would have saved enough money to purchase an additional 71,000 gallons of diesel.
Putting the Environment First
Thanks to molecular engineering, AMSOIL synthetic lubricants help to reduce harmful emissions. AMSOIL's extended drain intervals inevitably also result in less waste oil finding it's way into the environment. This is a subject which is of great concern to environmentalists, considering that the U.S. Department of Energy has warned that as much as 350 million gallons of waste oil is incorrectly disposed of each year.
Disposal of Waste Oil
Proper waste oil disposal costs money, not to mention the fact that drums of waste oil not only take up space, but they can also be a health hazard. Generally speaking, if a business has 60 vehicles on the road which all use regular motor oil, and all 60 vehicles undergo their regular oil changes, the fleet would produce more than a thousand gallons of waste oil each year. This is quite alarming, considering that only 360 gallons would be produced if the vehicles were using AMSOIL lubricants instead.

Nobody is saying businesses don't care about the environment, but at the end of the day, business is all about generating profits. This is without a doubt the biggest attraction of AMSOIL products, in that they can help to save money.
